Viva Arte Viva was the title of the huge 57th international art exhibition in Venice, the Biennale. It is a very special time to be in Venice, because there are art exhibitions and installations all over the city. The pavilions designed by the single countries at the Giardini in Castello and the Arsenale are the main sites, but they are accompanied by palazzi and special locations all over the city which show fantastic art works, often for free. This years winner, the piece of performance or endurance art by German artist Anne Imhof was a very moving, special event, performed throughout the festival. You find a great overview and helpful information about the latest Biennale updates on My Art Guide.
