Do: Stroll through the lovely Akazienkiez, where you find Jones Ice Cream, Korean restaurant Wawa and excellent restaurant Renger Platzsch.
The area around the Kadewe department store and Kurfürstendamm is the main shopping destination for high street and luxury brands. But here you also find the stylish Bikini shopping mall, Neni restaurant and Monkey Bar with its fantastic view. Right next to it there is the beautiful cinema Zoo Palast, or go and see an inspiring exhibition at the Helmut Newton Foundation, museum for photography or C/O Berlin just behind the train station Zoologischer Garten. Officially not a part of Schöneberg but of Tiergarten Mitte, however starting directly behind the zoo, the huge Tiergarten is a beautiful park for a run, a picnic or a simple walk. There is also another great cultural space with frequent interesting exhibitions or events, the Felleshus. As a cultural collaboration of the five Scandinavian embassies you can learn about Scandinavian design, fashion, art and way of life, usually for free. One of Berlin’s signature fashion stores Andreas Murkudis is a heaven for all fashion lovers on Potsdamer street and the mega hip brand 032c is also located here.
Eat: At well-liked Benedict you can have fantastic brunch all day and all night long, but you should book a table in advance. There is also the historic Cafe Einstein, where you might eat your delicious Austrian Schnitzel and Kaiserschmarrn next to famous actors or politicians. Or walk along Kant street towards the pretty Savignyplatz and have a bowl of fantastic peanut noodles or dumplings at popular Taiwanese Lon-Men’s Noodle House. Close by is also the great showroom of interior shop Dopo Domani.
